From Teacher to Social Media Marketing Consultant

My career as a teacher taught me how to take a classroom of students with short attention spans and an aversion to learning and transform them into an active audience; it's all about developing a relationship built on trust and keeping it entertaining. When I began a career in social media marketing, I took these talents and launched a highly profitable business and brand. Soon, everyone and their mother approached me, asking me to consult on their socials and help them market their businesses. From my old boss to the guys from my college fraternity, from the parents of the students I taught to friends of friends, each person asking for the same thing: my expertise on their social media marketing strategies. After my tenth or eleventh consult, I knew it was time to officially launch a consulting business to share my insider knowledge and help others market their businesses and non-profit organizations.
